So far, it has only been me and the bestie who love watching Grey's Anatomy.
Maybe because we both were introduced to the series very recently, and have been obsessed with it so far. I had been meaning to catch it for ages, but it was only recently that I managed to get hold of all the seasons and LITERALLY watched them in one go. I actually bunked work one Monday (!) because my head was aching from all the continuous hours of watching the series and then stayed in all day watching some more. Haha.
Maybe its me, but I totally get Meredith Grey. And to some extent Cristina too! I remember one day (I think I was on season 6) we were just going off to sleep, and I told Nutties, half sleepy, 'I am all dark and twisty too... you need to be my McDreamy!' Needless to say he did not understand and like all nice husband's do, said yes okay, anyway. :)
One of the things I have LOVED Grey's for, is the soundtrack. So many wonderful song's! And so many wonderful new artists to look out for! Here is a list of some of the favorite ones that found their way to my most-played track lists:
- Breathe / Wreck Of The Day / Catalyst - Anna Nalick (NOONE writes about heartache like this woman does.. I swear!)
- In My Viens / Make It Without You - Andrew Belle
- Falling For You - Seabird
- Where the Road Meets the Sun - Katie Herzig and Matthew Perryman Jones
- Holding Us Back - Katie Herzig
- Don't forget me - Way Out West
- Unlike Me / Grace - Kate Havnevik
- Hold On - Angus and Julia Stone
- Until The Last Falling Star - Matthew Perryman Jones
- Head On Your Heart - Mat Kearney
- You Always Make Me Smile - Kyle Andrews
- Feels Like Rain - Calahan
- Now or Never - Greg Laswell
- 9 Crimes - Damien Rice
- She Went Quietly - Charlie Winston
- Turn to Stone - Ingrid Michaelson
- Keep Breathing - Ingrid Michaelson
The only way a heartbreaking scene can really make my own heart ache is when it has the right song playing along with it. And on Grey's I sob like an idiot. Pretty much all the time. Haha. (Except Season 7/8 where I thought they just lost it.... for no apparent reason!)
I desperately need someone to download me a few other series. :/
Annie.
P.S: Title refers to one of first fav scenes from the series.

Haha, it's weird cause I think she said 'Pick me, choose me, love me' in a really annoying whiny voice :P
But yeah, I love Grey's Anatomy too :)
I love watching it too. All the conversations , situations and ofcourse the music - as you mentioned keeps you totally hooked.
It has a high dosage of sentimental scenes but in appropriate degree.
God bless you for that list, really.
And yes, Grey's is downright brilliant!

BEST SHOW EVER!
Yeah, Grey's Anatomy is pretty cool. Really gripping!
The soundtracks are amazing.
And going by your previous post, I'm guessing you're taking Grey's Anatomy love everywhere. :)
I LOVE Grey's Anatomy, and I am so glad I encountered your post because I have been trying to find those songs for a while. Meredith Grey is actually a very relatable character, one of the reasons why I love that show.

I'll always be thankful to Grey's for introducing me to the song Chasing Cars. I don't like Meredith that much, Christina is my favorite. And so is Mark and Lexie. I have no idea why Shonda kills people just like that. You completely start to fall for a character and out of nowhere she kills him/her off. Thanks for loving Grey's as much. :)

Even I have been wanting to watch it, but then I have heard so much about it, that I almost know the whole story. Haha :P
Grey's is so cool. And you're right, the soundtrack really is awesome.
Star World has it on all the time! I should do something about it :|
I've been watching Grey's from the first season and I don't get it when people say Mer is annoying and Yang is cold. I love Bailey and her no-nonsense attitude and that expression she gets when she's embarassed, George was so so so endearingly lost, the shooting episode almost killed me as well when I though Shonda had decided to put and end to my McDreamy, I love the fancy procedures they talk about, the clinical trials, the goings-on in the on-call room(:P), the strange-funny-downright weird cases that come to them, the crises in the hospital. I did NOT like it that they had to merge with Mercy West but I love that MerDer live in the candle house where it all started. I still haven't gotten over the fact that Mark and Lexi are gone but I'm glad 'it's a beautiful day to save lives' is back in action. Aaaand I hope they don't close the ER or kill anybody at the end of this season because the last finale was bleak enough.
There, a true fan I suppose :D
Sorry I went on a roll :P
